Christina Polites, a beloved wife, mother, and dedicated hospice caregiver, passed away on May 9th, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. Christina, who had been cancer-free for over a decade, was re-diagnosed with the illness in April. Despite her unwavering strength and determination, she sadly succumbed to the disease.

Known for her compassionate nature, Christina had spent more than 25 years as a Hospice Home Health Aid for North Bay, where she provided comfort and care to countless families. Her dedication to helping others reflected her deep love and commitment to those in need.

Christina’s family, including her husband of 49 years, John, and their son, were by her side during her final moments. In a heartfelt message, Vince Stone, a friend organizing a fundraiser for the family, shared, "It means a lot to me to be asked. John doesn’t ask for help. But, he and his family have never turned down the opportunity to help when called upon."

Christina’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her family’s loss is felt deeply by the community. Funeral arrangements and memorial details will be announced in the coming days.
