David Michael Edmiston, a cherished son, fiancé, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2025, in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania. He was 26 years old.
Born on March 20, 1999, in Media, Pennsylvania, David was the son of Denise Orlando and the late David M. Edmiston. A graduate of Interboro High School, David worked in masonry, showcasing a strong work ethic that reflected his character.
David had a passion for music, sports, and family game nights, which he especially enjoyed with those he loved. His infectious sense of humor and boundless energy made him a presence that could light up any room. David’s love for his family and friends was evident in the warm hugs and laughter he shared with everyone.
In an emotional tribute, friend Lorraine Mettimano wrote, "David was a very special boy. He was unique and always wanted to know how you were doing. He was a spark in the life of anyone who knew him. Rest easy, sweet boy."
David is survived by his beloved fiancée, Kaylee McGovern, his mother Denise Orlando, step-father Joseph Breen, and his siblings Brittany, Nicholas, Annie, and Katherine. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom will miss him deeply.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Gabriel’s Church in Norwood, Pennsylvania, followed by a funeral mass. His family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in David’s name to the Providence Animal Shelter.
David’s life may have been brief, but his memory will continue to inspire and be celebrated by those who knew him.
