Jamad Edwards, 16, Tragically Lost to Gun Violence in St. Louis, MO

St. Louis is grappling with the loss of 16-year-old Jamad Edwards, who was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in the Tower Grove East neighborhood.

Around 2 a.m. on April 22, 2025, police responded to the scene on Minnesota Avenue near Magnolia and found Edwards suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The tragic incident has left the community heartbroken, with many expressing their sadness and concern over rising gun violence. Local resident Mark Bozis shared his distress, stating, “That’s really sad to hear. I hate to hear of anyone hurt by gun violence.”
