Laiana Green, a courageous 18-year-old, tragically passed away while trying to save her friends and family from a perilous situation at a local river.
Laiana, known affectionately as LaiLai or Pooh, acted heroically during a moment of chaos, putting the safety of others above her own. The tragic incident occurred as she attempted to rescue others from drowning. Despite her bravery, Laiana’s body, along with those of three other young girls, has yet to be recovered.
Her family, devastated by the loss, is holding onto hope as search efforts continue. In the meantime, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help with funeral and memorial expenses, ensuring Laiana receives the dignified homegoing she deserves.
On social media, friends and community members have shared their heartfelt condolences, with one commenter saying, "Her bravery will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to her family and friends during this unimaginable time."
